‘Bossom’ Desert Hunter

Description: Vintage collector's piece.  Circa 1959. This 'Bossom' Desert Hunter wall plaque is in very good condition.  Salvaged from local home this item has been very well cared for.

History - Bossom chalk works opened in Congleton, Cheshire in 1946.  Two men who were trained as potters by trade. Bossom art work soon became collectable a trend that still is apparent today.  The figurines were made from plaster of paris and the intricate detail you see is from hours of research.  Ray Bossoms was known as a creative genius. They finally closed their doors in 1996 on retirement of remaining family member.
